Get Involved
There are many ways to get involved with SWANS.
Become a SWANS Member
Members have the right to vote at yearly Annual General Meetings (AGM) to influence the direction of SWANS.

Sex workers & allies can become members.
Join the Advisory Committee
Members of the Advisory meet monthly to discuss and influence the direction of organization as a whole in exchange for an honorarium.
​
Members of the Advisory Committee are femme-identified current or past sex workers.
Donate
Financial donations go directly towards our programs and services for local sex-workers.
Join the Board of Directors
Board members meet monthly to move the organization along. We review policy, take on projects and support the Executive Director.

Anyone can apply to be a board member. Members do not need to have lived experience in the industry, nor experience living in Sudbury, although those are both favourable to the role.
Volunteer
Volunteers are called upon for outreach, our events and conferences to do a variety of tasks. They're given training in harm reduction and sex work allyship.
​
Allies & sex workers can become volunteers.
